Disabled Rights Are Human Rights

Life in Palestine is not easy. The political, economical and social situation is very serious. Many people are suffering, and many families are caring for their disabled.

Star Mountain's forested grounds are an island of quiet in a stormy land.  Located on the road between Ramallah and Birzeit University, Star Mountain is based on the principle that every human being, regardless of race, religion, or ability, has the right to education, to dignity, and to community.  It is our goal to build such a society.

 We strive to empower those we serve not as an isolated individuals, but as an integral part of their environment.  We encourage them to discover and develop their abilities and skills, and to find their role in society.  We strengthen parental and community involvement, finding practical ways to integrate the disabled into their society.  And we do so using the highest level of professional knowledge, skills, and techniques.
